Zierick Connectors are a range of innovative Printed Circuit Board (PCB) connectors which provide reliable connections which can be installed quickly and have a small surface area on the PCB. The connectors use a crimping process to quickly form a connection whilst simultaneously generating its own strain relief. Hylec-APL is the exclusive distributor of these products in the UK, they are the smallest and most economical terminals available for SMT wire-to-board applications.

The PCB connectors are dimensions are 5.97 x 2.74 mm, which are similar dimension to hand soldered wires. Each connection takes a matter of seconds to complete, it can be made at any point along the wire which means it is suitable for inline applications which require multiple terminations. Each connector has a flat base with two sidewalls, two insulation piercing spikes protrude from the base. The flat base facilitates vacuum pickup and terminal placement on the PCB. The crimping tool stitches the wire into the terminal which further automates the process.

The connectors are also suitable for use with Aluminium substrate PCB’s where through hole connections are difficult and ideal to make.
