Hylec-APL Introduces New Range of DIN Rail Mounted Housings

Hylec-APL, the UK’s leading bulk supplier of electrical and electronic components, has launched a new range of DIN Rail mounted modular housings, the MR-K range. The housings are available in a number of unit sizes and feature options such as ‘quick snap’ covers to deliver bespoke solutions to all applications. All housings can be mounted on 35mm ‘Top Hat’ DIN Rails or panel mounted.

The MR-K range has from 3 to 9 units, with different step and height profiles, allowing customers to specify their order to the exact requirements of the application. Each unit is ergonomically designed to provide the customer with a well finished product that is practical to install and aesthetically pleasing.

The housings are available with special ‘quick snap’ covers; interchangeable terminal covers are also available for IP20 finger protection as well as blanking plates and vents. Housings are offered in a range of colours with clear lids available to allow for internal viewing without removal; this provides a level of security where contents could be compromised upon exposure.

As with Hylec’s range of vertical housings, the MR-K modular housings are fully customisable to design specification for drilling and printing. Customisations are completed by the factory with no additional tooling charges; the service is available for sample runs on short lead times giving customers great flexibility for product design and evaluation.
