RIA connect gets Farnell debut through Hylec-APL
RIA Connect, a PCB Terminal Block specialist, who’s products are distributed throughout the UK by Hylec-APL, will feature for the first time in the new Farnell catalogue. More than 100 of the RIA product lines will be available, including its Springcon range and many other quality connection products.
RIA Connect is a German company which has specialised in the design and manufacture of innovative connection systems for printed circuit boards for over 30 years. Over 100 Ria product lines are now available online through the Farnell Website and, for the first time, will also be featured in the new catalogue. Included in the product range is RIA’s Springcon range, which is a direct replacement to traditional screw type terminals.
The RIA Springcon range consists of terminal blocks which use a spring clamp technology rather than the traditional screw clamping technique. This method is the only screwless connector on the market which comes wire ready with the clamp open for termination without wire preparation for both solid and stranded wires. The advantages of this include up to 60% quicker installation times, a gas tight connection at the terminal point and there is no need for extra tools to secure the connection.
Also included are a range of Single Pole connections for Through Hole and Surface Mount applications with Screw and Spring connections. This is the first range of its type included by Farnell and allows users to make discreet single connections to a PCB.
